Make a Booking
All groups must book in advance to ensure availability of teaching sessions.
Please book provisionally by telephone then return the attached
booking form to confirm your visit
and programme. (Teachers and other adult supervisors come with their
groups free of charge).
Opening Times and Facilities
The Centre is open from 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. We recommend
teachers arrange a preliminary visit to meet the staff and familiarise
themselves with the centre and its facilities. Please telephone to
arrange your visit. The centre
has all access toilet facilities. Tea and coffee are provided free for
visiting staff. A tuck shop is available for use by schools.
Alternatively, a goodie bag can be made up prior to your arrival -
please detail on booking form.
“The Eco Lunch”
Please help your children learn about helping the environment by
preparing an environmentally friendly lunch for their visit to our
centre. Use as little packaging as possible and materials that can be
recycled. Eat locally produced products to conserve fossil fuel
resources. Avoid using cling film, drinks cartons, pre-wrapped biscuits
and non-recyclable packaging.
After your lunch we will weigh your waste at the centre - can you be the
school that leaves the least amount of rubbish for landfill?
